Doris Marie Bywaters

On Monday, May 3, 2021, Doris Marie Bywaters of Amissville, VA passed away at Novant Health UVA Haymarket.

Doris was born to the late Lloyd Douglas Bywaters and Virginia Mae Green Bywaters on January 14, 1945 in Amissville, VA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Bywaters Oliver and her brother, Kenneth Ray Bywaters. She is survived by three brothers, William D. Bywaters, Sr. of Blountville, TN; James Buddy Bywaters (Ann) of Flint Hill, VA; and Lloyd Ricky Bywaters (Sue) of Troy, VA, along with many nieces and nephews.

Doris, affectionately known as “Sis” by those who loved her, made a life out of caring for others to include lifetime care of her parents. She always supported the family in the role of daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She is also fondly remembered for her special gifts of crafts, crocheting and sewing.
