William Edward Foster

William Edward Foster, 91, of Washington, Va., died on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Hawksbill Assisted Living.

He was born on Jan. 31, 1930, in Washington, Va., and was a son of the late Spencer Edward Foster and Sadie Mary Smoot Foster.

Mr. Foster had worked in the maintenance department for the Virginia Department of Transportation and was a veteran of the United States Army.

His wife, Annie Virginia Marsh Foster, preceded him in death.

He is survived by a brother, Roger Foster of Washington, Va., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Thomas and George Henry Foster.
