John Marshall Clark, Jr.

John Marshall Clark, Jr., 76, of Washington, VA died Friday, July 23, 2021 at his home. He was born October 24, 1944 in Rappahannock, VA to the late John and Annie Clark.

John served in the US Army and retired from the US Postal Service in 1999. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and spending time outside. Above all else, he loved his family.

John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Clark, two children; John S. Clark (Susan), and Amanda K. Pullen (Lewis), five grandchildren; Mackensie Clark, John Cody Clark, Kayla Irene Pullen, Austin Raehn, and Alex Raehn, and one great grandson, Deion. He is also survived by his sisters; Shirley Baldwin, Rhonda Almarode (Randy), Maxie Brown (Mark), a special uncle, Ralph Pullen (Ann), special brother-in-law, Clyde Pullen, nieces; Debbie Knick, Tiffany West, and Naomi Baldwin, and nephews; Nathan Almarode and Joseph LeSuer.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his step mother, Dorothy Fincham Clark, and his sisters; Betty C. Pullen and Barbara C. Wayland.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 4 pm at The Family Cemetery, 51 Plains Lane, Washington, VA 22747 with Pastor William Taylor officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 2524.
